Uline would approach 14.5 million square feet of Kenosha County space with latest approved project

Uline Inc. gained unanimous approval from city of Kenosha elected officials Monday for a 1.4 million-square-foot distribution center that launches its next major expansion.

That building planned near Uline’s existing Kenosha campus is the first of four envisioned for 350 acres the company bought last year. The Pleasant Prairie distributor of shipping and packaging materials has grown rapidly in Kenosha County since moving there in 2010.

Kenosha Ald. Dominic Ruffalo during Monday’s Common Council meeting shared information he said the company gave him within the past week regarding its footprint. He said Uline occupies 13.1 million square feet of building space in Kenosha County.

“I was kind of amazed that the number of employees they have working in the city of Kenosha and Kenosha County is over 4,500 employees,” Ruffalo said. “They are an excellent partner for the city of Kenosha.”
