Uline affiliate buys 250 acres near Pleasant Prairie headquarters

An affiliate of Uline Inc. has purchased roughly 250 acres south of its corporate headquarters for a total of $28.5 million.

The Pleasant Prairie-based shipping materials and supplies distributor bought the properties from Chicago-based Ries Partners Limited Partnership, according to a deed recorded last week by the Wisconsin Department of Revenue.

The parcels were mainly located along 116th Street in the village of Bristol with a single parcel in Pleasant Prairie.

The land purchase builds on Uline’s rapid expansion in the area, where the company has spent the past several years acquiring and developing hundreds of acres.

When asked about the company’s plans for the acquired properties, a spokesperson with Uline told the Milwaukee Business Journal Friday that the company is “continually assessing” its footprint.

The spokesperson added that Uline has deep roots in Kenosha County and will continue to make investments that supports local jobs, businesses and its long-term economic growth.

In 2024, Uline completed what it calls the “mother of all warehouses” — 1.44 million-square-foot warehouse on a 179-acre site in Pleasant Prairie, part of a larger 350-acre parcel dedicated to the Uline’s future growth.

It’s now nearing completion on its fourth headquarters facility in Pleasant Prairie, which is expected to house up to 1,300 employees. The distributor also has plans for a 1.1 million-square-foot warehouse and another 1.2 million-square-foot facility.
