Global real estate firm EQT Exeter acquired about 20% of the LakeView Corporate Park in Kenosha County in a $290.7 million deal involving 307 acres, according to state records.
It’s a large deal even for the Interstate 94 corridor in southeast. Wisconsin, which has been very active in recent years. Included in the portfolio is 3.8 million square feet across eight industrial buildings, with 103 acres of land able to accommodate 1.3 million square feet of new development, according to EQT Exeter. The portfolio is largely in Pleasant Prairie’s LakeView Corporate Park, but also includes one building located in Skokie, Illinois.
CenterPoint Properties Trust and financial services firm UBS were the sellers.
In a printed statement on the purchase, EQT Exeter chief investment officer Matt Brodnik called LakeView “the premier business park in Southeast Wisconsin.”
“EQT Exeter mobilized its deep industry relationships and keen local market intelligence to acquire the park through our flagship industrial fund on an attractive basis, adding to our nearly 20 million square-foot industrial portfolio in the Chicago area, and enabling us to further capitalize on the surging demand we’re seeing,” Brodnik said.
