Developer updates plans for Kenosha County industrial buildings

Dallas-based commercial real estate firm Stream Realty Partners has updated its plans for an industrial building development in the Kenosha County village of Somers.

The firm now plans to build a 613,308-square-foot industrial building and a 307,820-square-foot industrial building in its Somers Business Park development, planned for a 90.5-acre site north of Burlington Road and east of the Kilbourn Road Ditch. The larger building would be built on the southern portion of the site and the smaller building on the northern portion. The plans also include 523 parking spaces for the two buildings.

Last year the company unveiled similar plans for the site, with three buildings totaling more than 930,000 square feet.

Kenosha County had an industrial space vacancy rate of 9.4% in the second quarter and the county absorbed 320,317 square feet of industrial space during the quarter, according to the latest market report from Moody’s and the Commercial Association of Realtors Wisconsin.

During the quarter there was 445,356 square feet of industrial space under construction in the county, according to the report.
