Gurnee-based Saveco to relocate, add jobs in Pleasant Prairie

Water-treatment equipment company Saveco, currently based in Gurnee, Illinois, plans to relocate its operations to Pleasant Prairie.

According to Village of Pleasant Prairie documents, Saveco intends to occupy about 92,200 square feet of a 144,000-square-foot building at 7809 100th St. in the LakeView Corporate Park.

Saveco, the North American subsidiary of Italy-based WAMGROUP, distributes equipment that removes and processes grit and solid waste from wastewater, according to its website. At the Pleasant Prairie site, the company will primarily receive manufactured equipment, add “enhancement components” and then ship the finished products to clients. The facility will not be used for manufacturing, according to village documents.

The location will also house administrative and support staff for departments including sales, engineering, shipping and service. In total, 44 current full-time employees will work at the new facility, and the company plans to hire an additional 33 full-time workers.

The Pleasant Prairie Plan Commission will review Saveco’s application on Monday. Based on current timelines, the buildout is expected to be completed in March.
