Ovation Awards Nominations

The Ovation Awards will be held Thursday, February 6, 2025

…and nominations are now open!

 

Know a great business or leader? Or maybe you are one!

Nominations/Applications for the 2025 Ovation Awards are now open. The awards recognize excellence and achievement in business throughout Kenosha County. Apply or nominate your colleagues, customers and business partners for these prestigious recognitions!

The process is entirely online and it only takes a few minutes to complete. We do not expect nominators to know everything – KABA will follow up with the nominated company for additional information if they choose to accept the nomination.

Each nominator or applicant will be entered into a drawing to receive two complimentary tickets to the 2025 Ovation Awards Dinner.

All nominations must be submitted by Friday, August 30, 2024.

Please review the eligibility criteria for each award before submitting nominations. You may nominate more than one company for each award and the same company for multiple awards. Be sure to complete each nomination as completely as possible and include your contact information.

Business of the Year

 

Applicants/nominees will be evaluated based on several factors including history of growth (sales and employment), innovation (introduction of new products and services), longevity (must be in business for at least five years), community engagement and overall economic impact on the community. The recipient of this award must be a for-profit entity, have over 50 employees, have operations within Kenosha County and be an investor/member in good standing of the Kenosha Area Business Alliance.

Small Business of the Year

 

This award is presented in collaboration with the Kenosha Area Chamber of Commerce. Applicants/nominees will be evaluated based on several factors including their leadership in the business community, positive growth and development, longevity (must be in business for at least three years), and commitment to community service. The recipient of this award must be a for-profit entity, have less than 50 employees, have operations within Kenosha County and be an investor/member in good standing of the Kenosha Area Business Alliance and/or Kenosha Area Chamber of Commerce.

Business Leader of the Year

 

Applicants/nominees must be a professional who has worked for a company that has been in business for at least three years, and will be evaluated based on leadership in the business community, a commitment to community service, and growth or continued success of the company at which he or she works.. The company the applicant/nominee works for must be a for-profit entity, have operations within Kenosha County and be an investor/member in good standing of the Kenosha Area Business Alliance.

Forward Award

 

Applicants/nominees will be evaluated based on several factors including expansions at their facility, construction of a significant development, addition of jobs or equipment, or other investments in their company or organization that helped move Kenosha County’s economy forward. More than one of these recognitions may be presented each year. The recipient of this award does not need be a for-profit entity, but they must have operations within Kenosha County.

 

An award selection committee comprised of previous award winners; representatives from the staff and board of directors of KABA and BizTimes Media; as well as representatives from UW-Parkside, Gateway Technical College, and Carthage College.

The Ovation Awards have been honoring excellence in business in Kenosha County since 2005. Past recipients of the Business of the Year award include Niagara Bottling, Heartland Produce, Catalyst Exhibits, Good Foods Group, ULINE, Kenall Manufacturing, Rust-Oleum Corporation, Allied Plastics and Snap-on Incorporated.

The 2025 awards will be presented at an annual dinner hosted by KABA on Thursday, February 6, 2025. Watch for additional details to be available soon!
