Scholarship Program

KABA offers annual scholarships to recognize talented high school seniors in the Kenosha Area whose actions link personal interests and talents with various career options, and who are pursuing post-secondary education. Scholarships range from $750.00 to $2,500.00 and must be applied toward the student’s tuition expenses. Applications for 2009 Scholarships will be available on this page of the KABA web site in early spring 2009.
In 2008, KABA awarded $2,500 tuition scholarships to five eligible, noteworthy graduating seniors from Kenosha County High Schools who plan to attend a four-year college or university to pursue a career in Math, Science, Technology, Medicine, Engineering, Business, Finance, or Accounting.
$2,500 Tuition Scholarship Recipients:
- Christian Life School: Bryan Adams, Computer Engineering, UW-Madison
- Tremper HS: David Godin, Economics, Brown University
- Tremper HS: Kaitlin Gromacki, Physical Therapy, UW-Lacrosse
- Westosha Central HS: Ashley Sullivan, Biology/Pre-med, Carthage College
- Bradford HS: Stephanie Zongolowicz, Biology or Marketing, UW-Madison
KABA also awarded a $1,500 scholarship to an eligible graduating senior planning to pursue an Associate's Degree at Gateway Technical College.
Gateway Technical College Tuition Scholarship Recipient:
- LakeView Technology Academy: Andrew Colford, Automated Manufacturing Systems
On behalf of the KABA Mentor Program, a $2,500 tuition scholarship was presented at the
Minority Academic Achievement Recognition
Ceremony.
$2,500 Minority Academic Achievement Tuition Scholarship Recipient:
- Indian Trail Academy: Jisha Jose, Biochemistry, UW-Madison
Members of KABA and the Kenosha community make up the Scholarship Committee and choose recipients based on eligibility criteria and ranking.
