Snyder's Leasing Distribution Center

Snyder's of Hanover Inc. is leasing a distribution center in LakeView Corporate Park from Town InvestmentsSM.

Snyder's, a snack food manufacturer that recently purchased the bankrupt Jays potato chip brand, is leasing approximately one third of Towne Industrial II, a 50,000-square-foot industrial building northwest of Green Bay Road and 108th Street in the industrial park.

Towne owns a number of industrial properties in Kenosha and Pleasant Prairie, including two neighboring industrial buildings built on speculation called Towne Industrial I and Towne Industrial II in LakeView.

Snyder's purchased Jays brands for $24.8 million through the Jays Foods bankruptcy settlement in December.

Jays operated a distribution center in Silver Lake, employing about 20 people, which has since closed.

A representative of Snyder's would not comment on whether the new distribution center took over the function and the employees of the Silver Lake facility.
