Uline to move to Pleasant Prairie

An Illinois shipping/packaging supply distributor plans to occupy a commercial building in Pleasant Prairie and eventually expand to double its presence.

Waukegan-based Uline would move administrative and other employees into the structure at 11400 88th Ave. this summer after prep work is completed, then also set up shop in an addition to be constructed by summer 2007.

The Village Board approved combining two adjacent parcels Monday to create a 43.5-acre tract, which would offer room for the addition. The current building is about 301,650 square feet, and the addition would be the same size. The parcels are owned by WisPark, which is developing LakeView Corporate Park.

The more than 600,000-square-foot facility would be leased to Uline for a warehouse and distribution center.
