Roundy's Opens Store on Former Brownfield Site in Kenosha
KENOSHA--
Roundy's Supermarkets Inc. has opened a new Pick 'n Save store at a former brownfield site in Kenosha. The new 56,000-square-foot store is located at 1901 63rd St. as part of the redevelopment of the old American Brass Plant. The new store has created more than 160 new jobs.
Robert Mariano, chairman and chief executive officer of Roundy's, along with store and local officials, cut the ribbon for the new store this week and presented a $2,500 check to Kenosha Community Health Center Inc.
"Not only is it important for Roundy's to provide our customers with a new store that gives them an unprecedented shopping experience, but it is important for us to give back to the communities we serve," Mariano said. "The Kenosha Community Health Center will be our neighbor when it builds a clinic right across the street from our new store. We want to welcome it to the neighborhood with this donation."
